Item 11045
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Most Unusual Presentation Stoneware Bean Pot.
It dates around 1880 and looks like incised items from Southern Ohio and Indiana from that period.
This beauty sports the Bean Pot Form with Original Lid, a Shiny Albany Slip Glaze, and an Incised Wreath that frames "G. N. Morgan, March 12, 1894." It was likely a presenation piece to celebrate a memorable event. Most unusual to see a bean pot used for a presentation! Measures 10" wide to the tips of the handles and 6 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. The base exhibits no chips, hairllines, cracks, stains, or restoration. The lid has a single 1/2" chip on the edge.
