Item 10935

Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "F. H. Cowden, Harrisburg."

This is the mark of John Wallace Cowden who ran the company with this stamp from 1880-1888 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 55-58).

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and a Fancy Victorian Decoration.  I have never seen this decoration on any piece of stoneware before.  Stands 11 1/4" tall.

Very Good Condition.  Some staining from use.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A kiln touch on the left side toward the back in the making.
