Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Ovoid Jug from Northeast Ohio. 
 
Circa 1850, this beauty features the Early Ovoid Form, Warm Gray Salt Glaze, and a Brushed Tulip Decoration Executed with Bright and Shiny Cobalt.  Stands 13 1/4" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/2" chip on the top of the spout near the handle and one on the right side of the spout.  Light wear from use.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A narrow void near the stem of the tulip where straw burned away during the firing process.
