Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Chicken Pecking Corn Crock.

This is most likely the work of Samuel Brady and John J. Ryan who ran their pottery in Ellenville, N.Y. from 1878-1897 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 66).

This beauty features a Classic Chicken Pecking Corn Decoration.  The decoration is executed with a slip cup in shiny cobalt. The chicken is nicely centered an accented with dots.  Measures 10 3/4" tall and 11" wide across the top.

Excellent Condition.  Three chips inside the rim (1/4" to 1/2"), a 1/2" chip on the outside of the rim in the back, and two chips under the left handle (1/4", 1/2").  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
