Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Early 1 Gallon Ovoid Jug stamped "Charlestown."

This is the stamp of Frederick Carpenter who ran the pottery in Charlestown, Massachusetts for Barnabas Edmands from 1812-1827 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 49).

This beauty features an Early Ovoid Form, a Clear "Charlestown" Stamp, and Ochre Dip on the Top and Bottom. The cleanest Charlestown jug I have seen in a very long time. Stands 12" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/4" chips and a dime-sized chip on the back near the bottom.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
