    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Canning Jar made for "Brandt's Pure Horse Radish, Famous for Fine Foods, Cleveland, Ohio."  

     

    The canner was made by Weir of Monmouth, Illinois.  The lid is so marked and it is one of the forms that Weir made while in operation from 1899 to 1906 (Jim Martin and Bette Cooper, Monmouth-Western Stoneware, pp. 28-33).  

     

    This beauty features Four Lines of Advertising in a Rectangular Label.  Retains the Weir lid and metal clamp.  Stand 4" to the top of the lid.  

     

    Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind!
