Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this rare Blue and White Spongeware Toothbrush Holder in the Drape and Tassel Pattern.  It is also called the Fir Tree Pattern for the decoration's resemblance to upside down fir trees.

Dating around 1890 to 1910, this set is rare.

This toothbrush holder has a graceful form with scalloped rim, sloped neck, and a bulbous and paneled body that narrows to a prominent footer.  It is decorated with an embossed drape with four tassels going all the way around that are accented with blue sponging.   Stands 5 1/4" tall.

Very Good Condition.  A 1/2" chip on the rim on one side as shown. Otherwise as made.
