Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Beans Canister with Lid in the Basketweave and Morning Glory Pattern.
This beauty was made by the Brush McCoy Pottery and is featured in Taylor and Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, on pp. 194-197.
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features an Intricate Basketweave Pattern with "Beans" in a Banner Embossed on the Front and a Morning Glory on the Back. Stands 5 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. Three small and narrow contiguous chips on the bottom edge (1/8" to 1/4"). That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. The lid has a 3/8" chip on the top edge nd two chips (3/8", 3/4") and nibbles on the underside of the edge as shown. No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
