Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this superb Blue and White Butter Crock with Lid in the Daisy and Waffle Pattern.
This was made by the A. E. Hull Pottery.
This beauty features a Waffle Background that Hosts Four Daisy Blossoms Evenly Spaced Around the Middle. Unusually rich cobalt accent on the top and bottom trim as well as the center daisies. Measures 5 1/4" tall and 7 1/4" wide.
You can see a fine description of this piece in Terry Taylor and Terry and Kay Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, pp. 111-112.
Excellent Condition. The base has a single 3/16" nibble inside the rim, and the lid has a 3/8" flake on the underside at the edge. Otherwise as made! A very clean example.
