Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Batter Jug made and stamped by "A. L. Hyssong, Bloomsburg, PA."  
 
This is the work of Austin Hyssong who made stoneware in Bloomsburg using this stamp from 1891 to 1914 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, p. 32). 
 
This beauty features a Batter Jug Form, Strong Pottery Stamp, and a Sideways Cobalt Flower on the Front Executed with a Slip Cup.  Retains an old bail handle. Stands 10 3/4" tall.    
 
Very Good Condition.  Some restoration for small chips around the tip of the spout (closeup).  Otherwise no chips, hairlines, cracks, or stains.  Bubbling in the cobalt in the making.
