Item 8650
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Crock made and stamped by the "West Troy Pottery."
This is the mark used by William Warner of West Troy, New York (now Watervliet) from 1843 to 1871 (private research)
Circa 1880, this beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Large Floral Bouquet in the Norton Tradition. The floral fills the entire front in rich cobalt! The decoration really pops! Measures 11 3/4" tall and wide across the top.
Good Condition with Old Restoration. A 1/2" chip inside the rim. A 1" restored chip on the rim in front of the right handle (closeup 1), and a top to bottom restored crack behind the right ear (closeup 2). The restoration is old and starting to flake. The decoration is unaffected.
