    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Intricately Designed Round Bank initialed "E. S." on the Bottom.

     

    Dating to the mid-19th century, this beauty featues a Ball-Form on a Base with Loop Handle on the Top, Two Coin Slots, Two Decorative Knobs on Each Side, and Two Pastoral Scenes.  One scene is of a woman standing in front of a barn feeding birds.  Two doves dive in from above, while two peacocks and a duck in front, and a rooster and hen behind await feeding.  The other scene is of a boy and girl playing with their dog.  Exquisite detail in the background of the bank.  Measures 4 3/4" tall and wide.

     

    Very Good Condition.  Chips on two corners and four other small chips 3/8" chips around the platform.  That's it!  No other chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  What photographs as white on the base are not chips, but reflections.
