Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Jar whose decoration indicates that it was made in Jane Lew, West Virginia.  
 
Circa 1875, this beauty features a Tooled Rim and Shoulder, "3" Capacity Number Flanked by Stars and Underscored with a Wavy Stripe, and a Bowknot Below.  Stands 13 1/2" tall.  
 
Very Good Condition with Restoration.  A 1/2" chip inside the rim and a competent restoration for a rim to base crack on the left side behind the handle (closeup).  No other apologies.
