Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Lidded Jar made and stamped by "F. H. Cowden, Harrisburg." 
 
This is the mark of John Wallace Cowden who ran the company with this stamp from 1880-1888 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 55-58)
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Spectacular Cobalt Snowflake Decoration.  Stands 9" tall
 
Excellent Condition.  A 3/8" chip on the left side of the rim.  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A couple small skips in the cobalt in the making.  Lid is as made.
