Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Ovoid Jug made and stamped by "D. Roberts & Co., Utica."
 
This is the work of David Roberts who potted in Utica from 1827-1830 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 69).
 
This beauty features an Early Ovoid Shape, Applied Handle, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Tulip.  Stands 11" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  Short firing line below the handle in the making.
