Coming to you from Doc's Crocks are Three Pieces from Blue and White Spongeware Soap Dishes-- One Lid and Two Bases. Your choice.
These date to the late 19th century and were part of a wash bowl and pitcher set. These piece are not quite matches for each other, but one or two might help you complete your own piece. Or you can match two up here to your liking.
All the pieces have strong blue sponging.
The two bases are all damage free. They are 6 1/4" at their widest point.
The lid has a 3/4" chip on the top at the edge and a 3/8" chip on the side of the seating ring on the underside. It has a wonderful pinwheel pattern. No hairlines. 6" in diameter.
The lid might work very well on a canister or butter crock as well.
