Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this masterful 1 gallon jar made and stamped by the "Beaumont Pottery, York, Maine."

This is the work of Jerry Beaumont whom I believe has been and continues to be one of the best contemporary potters in America today.  His work from York, Maine in the 1980's was some of his finest.

This beauty features the pottery stamp with cobalt wash, and a Detailed Farm Scene that includes A Farmhouse on Stoneware Foundation and Flanked by Trees, Barn with Open Doors, Buggy,  Apple Trees with Fruit, and a Scattering of Chickens.  Folk art at its finest.  Stands 10" tall.

Comes from an extensive Massachusetts collection whose owner had personal ties to both the potter and the artist.  She gave me the privilege of buying this and many other Beaumont items (including the sign from the York, Maine pottery).

Excellent Condition.  Two narrow flakes on the top of the rim toward the inside that may be in the making (3 and 6 o'clock) in the inside picture.  Otherwise as made.
