Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this most unusual Adirondack Style Stoneware Cuspidor/Spittoon.
Made around 1900, this beauty features Incised Bark and Molded Branch Stumps with Cream Glaze and Brown, Gray, and White Accents. Making this piece ever more unique is the blue and white spongeware on top! Measures 3 1/4" tall and 8 1/2" wide across the base.
Excellent Condition. Three chips and three pings on the top of the molded rim, and minor chips/nibbles on the raised highlights. No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
This is the first cuspidor with this unique mix of form and decoration that I have ever encountered.
