Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Yellow Ware Mermaid Flask. 
 
Such flasks were popular with sailors in the mid-19th century for their "spirits." 
 
I find it interesting that the mermaid's face and head look like Queen Victoria in her head attire.  Also, how is it that the top of the fish scales is a fancy embroidery? I detect there may be more to the story here.  Measures 7 1/2" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Slight wear on the high points on the back.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
