Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon and wonderful Yellow Ware Seated Spaniel Figural Doorstop in Rockingham Glaze. 
 
Dating around 1870, this beauty is a Seated Spaniel with Freestanding Front Legs and Locket Around its Neck. Stands 9 12" tall, with a base that is 8" long and 6" wide. 
 
You can see a very similar doorstop in Lisa McAllister's, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book 3, p. 75. The one pictured there is attributed to East Liverpool, Ohio in the 1860's.
 
Excellent Condition.  Some light wear to the base.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A short drying line inside one corner on the underside of the base in the making.
