Item 3795
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this very attractive Blue and White Plate made by "R. Hammersley" who made pottery in England for the American market.
Dating to the mid-19th century, this beauty features a Cut or Design Spong Border and a Transfer Print of a Folk Art Eagle Standing on a Flag Shield and a Banner Reading, "E. Pluribus Unum." The cobalt is rich and dark. Measures 8 7/8" in diameter.
Very Good Condition. A few minor pinhead-size nibbles and three small glaze wear spots on the edge, all of which I have tried to show in the closeup. That's it! No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
