Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 3/4" Mini Motto Jug.  
 
This beauty reads, Motto Jug. "'If You Try Me Once, You will Try Me Again.' Detrick Distilling Company, Dayton, Ohio." This Dayton company made a series of a dozen Motto Jugs around 1900 which have retained their popularity with collectors.
 
This example with the slant-sided label in blue is not part of either series. The motto is part of both series, but this configuration of the label is an uncommon stand-alone version that predates the two series.
 
Excellent Condition.  Two 1/8" nibbles on the bottom edge.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
