Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 1/2" Mini Motto Jug.  
 
This beauty reads, "Motto Jug. 'While we Live Let's Live." Detrick Distilling Company, Dayton, Ohio."
 
This Dayton company made a series of a dozen Motto Jugs around 1900, one without a border around the motto in large letters and one with a border in small letters.  These jugs have retained their popularity with collectors due to their small size and humorous mottos.
 
This example is from the series with a border around the motto and the motto in small letters.  Stands 4 1/2" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Two nibbles on the bottom edge.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
