Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon Blue and White Spongeware Gravy Boat.  
 
Dating to the mid-19th century, this beauty features an Oval Form with Graceful Spout and Handle, Bowed Sides, Base with Four Feet, Embossed Decoration, and Dark and Variegated  Sponging.  She is a beauty!  Measures 8" long, 4" wide, and 3 3/4" tall to the tip of the spout.  
 
I see about 1 every 2 years.  Tough to find. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" narrow chip inside the rim by the handle (closeup 1) and a 1/4" chip on the front foot (closeup 2).  Otherwise as made.
