Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Cream Pot made and stamped by "Lewis & Cady, Fairfax, VT."
 
This is the work of little known partnership that made pottery in Fairfax in the mid 19th century (William Ketchum, Jr. American Stoneware, p. 45). 
 
This beauty features the Cream Pot Form with Tall Neck and Bulbous Base, Pottery Stamp, and Albany Slip Glaze.  Stands 8 1/4".  
 
Notice the fingerprint on the underside of the person who dipped the pot in the Albany Slip!
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  A surface drying/firing line on the underside center in the making.
