Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Harvest Jug from the Midwest.
These jugs were taken into the fields on farms for the workers to drink from. Being made of stoneware, they did help keep beverages cool.
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features the Harvest Jug Form with Carrying Handle and Spout for Drinking, as well as a Black Gun Metal Glaze. Stands 9 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. Minor nibbles on the tip of the drinking spout. Otherwise, as made!
