Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Oval Dish.  
 
The sponging is distinctive of the Burford Brothers of East Liverpool, Ohio. They were in business from 1879 to 1904 (eastliverpoolhistoricalsociety.org/burford.htm).  
 
Circa 1900, this beauty features an Oval Shape with Recess and Blue and White Sponging.  It is stamped on the bottom, "HOTEL".  I assume it was made for hotel service.  Measures 8" Long and 5 3/4" wide.   
 
Excellent Condition. Very minor surface wear.  Otherwise, as made.
