Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Blue and White Spongeware Serving Bowl.
Dating to the second half of the 19th century, it came in at least three sizes. This is the middle size of those I have seen at 8 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/4" tall.
This beauty features a Scalloped Edge with Embossed Scrolled Decoration, Paneled Interior, and Rich Cobalt Sponging.
Very Good Condition. Moderate wear on the inside bottom and outside sides. No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
