Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Serving Bowl.
Dating to the second half of the 19th century, it came in at least three sizes. This is the smaller size of those I have seen at 7 1/4" in diameter and 2" tall.
This beauty features a Scalloped Edge with Embossed Scrolled Decoration, Paneled Interior, and Rich Cobalt Sponging.
Excellent Condition. As made. No damage of any kind. Fine glaze crazing of age.
