    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this striking Late 19th Century Blue and White Hot Water Pitcher in the Banded Pattern.

     

    One nearly identical is pictured in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware by Taylor and Lowrance on page 213.

     

    This pitcher features a "Trumpet-Like" Rim, Bulbous Body Perched on a Small Footer, a Splendid Curved Handle, and Very Careful Blue and White Sponging Around Center Stripes. The cobalt is strong and glossy too just like we like it! Stands 7" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  Some crazing on the underside.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
