Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Miniature Toy Bowl with Dutch Scene.

Circa 1900-1920, this beauty features an Overhanging Rim for Stacking, Blue Stripe on Top and Under the Overhang, and a Dutch Scene on Each Side.  The scene features a windmill overlooking two sailboats in the harbor.  Tiny size of 1 3/4" tall and 3 1/2" side.

It is featured in Terry Taylor and Terry and Kay Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, p. 175.

This example is the only one I recall ever seeing that does not have a flat bottom, but one designed for heat convention like it would be put in an oven.

Excellent Condition.  A pinhead-size nibble on the top of the rim.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
