Coming to Doc's Crocks is this uncommon Blue and Green Flow Spongeware Redware Saucer. 


Dating to the 19th century, this beauty features a Saucer Form with Deeper Well for Drinking from the Saucer, and a Dark Blue and Green Flow Sponging.  Very strong color!   Measures 6 1/4" wide.  


Not common to find redware with colored sponge decoration.


Very Good Condition.  A narrow 1/2" sliver of glaze loss on the edge with an 1/8" flake to its right where a tripod mark from the making is located (closeup at the bottom).  No other chips, or any hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.


Ships double-boxed, insured, and FREE


Excellent Condition.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A 3/8" void on top of the rim on both sides that is an imperfection in the making--  One from separation from the piece above in the kiln and one an air pocket.
