Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Cast Iron Still Bank entitled, "Young America."

It was made by Kyser & Rex of Frankfort, Pennsylvania about 1882.  It is bank 881 in Andy and Susan Moore, The Penny Bank Book, p. 103.

This beauty is in the form of an Elaborate Victorian Safe with Scenes of American Life.  On the front is a man riding a Penny Farthing bicycle, a boy with a stick and hoop is on the left, a couple playing a ball and pin game is on the right, and a man is fishing on the back.  It is unusual in that the people are all oriental!  Has the original key.  Measures 4 1/2" tall and  wide, 3 1/4" deep and wide.

Excellent Condition.  I believe it has the original surface. Some wear.  Lock works.
