Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Yellow Ware Salt Crock with Lid.
It was part of the "Dandy Line" of kitchen stoneware made by the Brush McCoy Company in Zanesville, Ohio. This piece is discussed in Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I , on p. 73.
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features Three White Slip Bands around the Middle with "Salt" Prominently Displayed on the Front. Measures 5 3/4" tall and wide.
Very Good Condition. A faint 2" hairline through the middle of the hanger (closeup). Very hard to see and stops at the rim. Otherwise as made.
