Coming to you from Doc's Crocks, is this wonderful Yellow Ware Butter Crock with Lid. This beauty was made by the Brush McCoy Company in Zanesville, Ohio as part of their Dandy LIne (Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I , on p. 83).
Unlike the rest of the set, this one does not have "Butter" written on it.
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features Three White Slip Bands around the Middle. Measures 4 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" wide across the top.
Good Condition. The base has small nibbles around the inside of the rim, and a 5/8" chip at the base, and overall staining from use. The surface of the white slip has come off with use. The lid has three 1/4" flakes and small nibbles on the edge, and overall staining from use. Neither top or bottom has hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
