Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Large Yellow Ware Lid that came with the "Sugar" Crock that was part of the "Dandy Line" of the Brush McCoy Company in Zanesville, Ohio.
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features Four Molded Layers with Center Knob. Warm yellow coloration. Measures 10" in diameter.
The sugar crock with lid is pictured in Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I, on p. 83. As you know, the sugar crock in this set is hard to find and the lid is even harder to locate.
Excellent Condition. A 5/8" chip on the outer edge, a 3/8" chip on the underside of the outer edge, and a 1/2" chip and some smaller nibbles on the seating ring on the underside. No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
