    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Yellow Ware Butter Crock with Original Lid. It was part of the "Dandy Line" of the Brush McCoy Company in Zanesville, Ohio.


    Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features Three White Slip Bands around the Middle with "Butter" Prominently Displayed.  The lid has an easy grip design.  Measures 3 5/8" tall and 5 7/8" wide.


    This piece is pictured in Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I, on p. 83.


    Very Good Condition.  The base has four flat glaze chips as shown.  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  The lid has three 1/4" chips, one on the outer edge and two on the seating ring on the underside.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
