Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Yellow Ware Butter Crock. It was part of the "Dandy Line" of the Brush McCoy Company in Zanesville, Ohio.
This set is pictured in Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I, on p. 83. This is the smallest of three sizes of butter crock made in this set.
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features Three White Slip Bands around the Middle, and Rich Pumpkin-Colored Glaze. Measures 3 5/8" tall and 5 1/2" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Some crazing in the bottom, three pinhead-size nibbles inside the rim and two small 3/16" chips on the base. No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
