Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Cream Pot made for "Wm Haslage & Co., Grocers and Tea Dealers, No 18 Diamond, Pittsburgh, PA."

This jar was made in SW Pennsylvania, probably at Greensboro.

Dating about 1880, this beauty features a Top and Two Bottom Stripe that Frame the 7 Lines of Stenciled Advertising. The cobalt advertising is strong and contrasts very well with the light gray clay background. Measures 8 1/2" tall and 8" wide across the top.

The reference to "Tea Dealers" adds extra interest.

Excellent Condition. A few small glaze chips inside in the middle from use, a narrow 1/2" chip at the base in the right side, and faint staining on the back. That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.

A very nice piece of Pittsburgh stoneware and business history.
