    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Owl Wall Pocket marked "Brush Pottery."


    This is the mark of the Brush Pottery (formerly Brush-McCoy until 1925).  It was part of their "Wise Birds" Line introduced in 1927.  It was advertised as "A New Line of 'Purse-Openers' for Every Store Everywhere."  The original ad and the pieces in this line are pictured above (Martha and Steve Sanford, The Guide to Brush-McCoy Pottery, pp. 8, 124-125)


    This beauty features a Finely Molded Owl Perched on a Branch, Richly Colored in Muted Tones.  Pottery Stamp on the Back.  Measures 8" tall and 4" wide.  


    Exceptional Condition.  No damage of any kind.
