Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this handsome 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jar.
The decoration on this crock makes it is easy to attribute to William and Charles Wingender of Haddonfield, N.J. They ran the pottery in Haddonfield from 1883 to 1923. This is an earlier work as its salt glaze and cobalt brushed decoration attest.
This beauty features a Thick and Carefully Tooled Rim, and a Garland of 6 Leaves around the Rim. This was one of Wingender's signature decorations. Stands 8 1/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A 1/4" chip on the underside at the edge, and some staining from use. That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
