    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "WM. E. Warner, West Troy."


    This is the mark of William E. Warner who ran a pottery in West Troy, N.Y. in the 1840's and 1850's (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 67-68).


    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Fancy Freehand Cobalt Flower Riding a Tornado!  The flower is very intricate with 7 petals accented in the middle and between each petal with small leaves.  All the decoration is executed with a slip cup in strong cobalt blue!  Stands 10 1/4" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  A 1 3/4" "U" surface ping line on bottom on the right side (closeup) and some light staining from use.   No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
