Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Whites Utica."
This is a work of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 69-70).
This beauty features the pottery stamp with cobalt wash and a Gorgeous Floral Bouquet Executed with a Slip Cup. The floral has a center stem with a rose on the left and a large Daisy on the right. Stands 14 1/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A small ping at 2 o'clock on the rose. That's it! No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. A 1/4" clay flip on top of the handle in the making.
