Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Little Blue and Gray Match Safe


It was made by the Whites Pottery of Utica, N.Y. between 1890 and 1907 when Whites made finely molded stoneware,


This beauty features an Open Center for Storing Matches and a Rough Surface Composed of Numerous Diamond Shapes for Striking Matches.  Decorated with a bottom cobalt stripe.  Measures 2 3/4" tall and 3 1/2" wide across the bottom.    


Very Good Condition. A 1/2" chip inside the rim (closeup), and a few very minor nibbles on the bottom edge.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
