Coming to you from Doc's Crocks, is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jar made and stamped by "Whites Utica, N.Y."
This is a mark of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , pp. 70-71).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and a Parrot Perched on a Stump Decoration. This was one of Whites signature decorations. Its simplicity is only rivaled by its beauty. Stands 9 3/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. A hairline on the back bottom that comes up 2", goes right 2", and wraps under 2". No chips, stains, or restoration.
