Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jar made by "Warner & Russell, Bridgeport, W. VA."
 
This duo had a short-lived pottery in Bridgeport in the late 19th century.
 
Dating around 1880, this beauty features the Tall and Cylindrical Form with a Freehand "2" Capacity Number and the Company Advertising Stenciled on a Diagonal on the Front.  The stencil is complete, crisp, and in strong cobalt.  Stands 11 3/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition. A minor 1/4" flake inside the rim and a couple pinhead-size nibbles on the bottom ridge of the tooled rim.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
