    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "W. T. B. Gordy."  


    This is the stamp of William Thomas Belah Gordy who made pottery in Alvaton and Aberdeen Georgia from circa 1900 to 1935.  See John A. Burrison, Brothers in Clay: The Story of Georgia Folk Pottery, pp. 172-76.


    This beauty features a Tall and Narrow Form with the Gordy Stamp on the shoulder.  Stands 17" tall.


    Very Good Condition.  Chipping at the spout, 6" surface line on the left side not visible inside, and wear around the middle.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
