Item 5413
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Staffordshire Tiny Blue and White Spongeware Bowl.
Dating to the middle of the 19th Century, this beauty was probably the waste bowl to a child's tea set. It features Rounded Sides, Petite Footer, and Dark Cobalt Sponging. Measures only 1 3/4" tall and 2 3/4" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. Five very tiny pinhead-size or less nibbles on the top of the rim. No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A sliver-like piece of extra clay on the side (picture 4) and two drying lines in the footer (picture of underside) in the making.
