Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Tiny 7" Jar with 3 Tulips.
This beauty is easy to attribute to Richard Remmey who ran the family pottery in Philadelphia from the 1860's until the turn of the century (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 8-10).
Dating to the 1860's, this beauty features a Small 7" Size that is so Popular, a Carefully Tooled Rim, and Three Tulips Chasing Each Other Around the Middle. Strong cobalt on a light gray glaze for a robust contrast. Stands 7" tall.
Excellent Condition. Three small chips inside the rim (3/16"), four small adjacent chips outside the rim (1/8" to 3/8"), and a narrow 1/2" chip at the base. No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
