Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped for "Thomas Shields, Wholesale Grocer, N.W. Cor. Monument & Dallas' Sts., Baltimore, MD."
 
Dating about 1880, this beauty featurs 5 lines of impressed advertising with cobalt blue.  Stands 9 3/4" tall.  
 
Excellent condition.  Overall staining from use, and some fine crazing near the bottom from age.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
 
A wonderful piece of Baltimore history.
